Copy/paste all of the folders I mentioned in step 2 into this folder. Go to "instances", then the one that has the same name as the instance you made, then "minecraft".

If your pack has LiteLoader in it, you should install the latest version of that here as well.ĥ) Now, go to your MultiMC folder. Install the latest version of Forge for the Minecraft version you want - not the one with the star, the one with the bug. Create the instance.Ĥ) Go to "Edit Instance". Keep track of this location.ģ) Start up MultiMC, make a new instance, name it whatever you want, and select the same Vanilla Minecraft version as your pack is. Those four folders ("config" and "mods" are essential, the others might not even be there) hold most of the things necessary for your pack to run. Inside should be a "mods" folder, "config" folder, and possibly other important folders like "local" for FTBUtilities configs and "scripts" for MineTweaker scripts. FTB Launcher will keep pack data in C:/ftb, Technic Launcher will keep them in %appdata%/.technic, and ATLauncher IIRC will keep packs in the same folder you keep the launcher in.Ģ) Navigate to the folder that contains the modpack you want to copy. There's probably a quicker way for some modpacks, but this will work with any forge installation with mods.ġ) Find out where the files for the pack are kept.
